Moose hunting – an obvious part of our upbringing!

Throughout our childhood, elk soup was a natural part of everyday life. Dad is a hunter, and many mornings he was already on his way to Leipiö before we had even woken up. With his gun over his shoulder and coffee in his hand, he went out into the forest to hunt elk. When the hunt yielded results, we knew what awaited us at home. A hearty pot of elk soup and the whole family gathered around the kitchen table. It was simple food, but to this day there is nothing better for us. Only when you get older do you understand that it is not a given for everyone to always be able to eat your fill the way we did at home at the kitchen table in Junosuando. The coffee break is a sacred tradition that we all cherish. When the sun is just rising, a cup of coffee on the pass is one of the better moments while waiting for the elk. We roast these beans darkly to highlight the rich notes of chocolate and spices. Great for sitting and waiting, warming your body and soul and giving you a moment for reflection. The coffee in this bag comes from carefully selected farms in Costa Rica, Brazil and Indonesia. The coffee grows at altitudes of 1100 to 2000m and is carefully picked by hand.
